• More Info About Kit: This bracket & hardware kit for a backyard pergola will accommodate any free-standing pergola ranging from 13-24 feet by 13-24 feet . The pergola for backyard shade does not need to be exactly 24' x 24' like in the images on this page. The kit includes 120 2x4 insert brackets . While the images on this page show that all 120 brackets are used to add 60 angled roof slats to your pergola (15 slats to each of the four roof sections, all a 12' span with standard spacing between slats), you can use the brackets any way you'd like (i.e. adding a privacy wall or half/partial wall, adding a side railing, installing the roof slats straight up & down, etc.). You can also purchase additional 2x4 insert brackets here .
