• More Info About Kit: This steel bracket kit for constructing a wood pergola will accommodate any free-standing pergola ranging from 4-12 feet wide by 4-12 feet deep . The simple-assembly pergola does not need to be exactly 12' x 12' like in the images on this page. The kit includes 14 2x4 insert brackets . While the images on this page show that all 14 brackets are used to add 7 straight inline roof rafters to your pergola (covering a span of 12' with standard spacing between rafters), you can use the brackets any way you'd like (i.e. adding a privacy wall or half/partial wall, adding a side railing, installing the roof slats at an angle, etc.). You can also purchase additional 2x4 insert brackets here .
