• More Info About Kit: This DIY-friendly kit for a canopy-covered wood pergola will accommodate any free-standing pergola ranging from 8-12 feet wide by 8-12 feet deep . The canopy-covered pergola does not need to be exactly 12' x 12' like in the images on this page. The kit includes a premium quality charcoal gray shade canopy in your choice of 6 size options: 8x8, 8x10, 8x12, 10x10, 10x12 or 12x12. The canopy is made of fade-resistant 180 GSM High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) knitted fabric that blocks up to 95% of UV rays and is permeable to prevent rain from pooling on top. Each side of the shade canopy has 4 straps to keep it tight and prevent drooping. The kit also includes all necessary corner and side accessory mounts (including screws) to secure the shade canopy straps to the corner brackets and beams of the pergola. The kit also includes 12 2x6 insert brackets . While the images on this page show that all 12 brackets are used to add one privacy wall with 6 slats (8' tall with far spacing between slats), you can use the brackets any way you'd like (i.e. adding another privacy wall or half/partial wall, adding a side railing, adding roof rafters below the shade canopy, etc.). You can also purchase additional 2x6 insert brackets here .
