• More Info About Kit: This DIY pergola building kit will accommodate any free-standing pergola ranging from 26-36 feet by 8-12 feet . The concrete-, pavers- or deck-mounted shade pergola does not need to be exactly 36' x 12' like in the images on this page. The kit includes three (3) premium quality charcoal gray shade canopies in your choice of 6 size options: 8x8, 8x10, 8x12, 10x10, 10x12 or 12x12. The canopies are made of fade-resistant 180 GSM High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) knitted fabric that blocks up to 95% of UV rays and is permeable to prevent rain from pooling on top. Each side of the canopies has 4 straps to keep them tight and prevent drooping. The kit also includes 36 corner and side accessory mounts (including screws) to secure the shade canopy straps to the corner brackets and beams of the pergola. The kit also includes 80 2x4 insert brackets . While the images on this page show that all 80 brackets are used to add two privacy walls with 20 slats each (both 8' tall with closely spaced slats), you can use the brackets any way you'd like (i.e. adding another privacy wall or half/partial wall, adding a side railing, adding roof rafters below the shade canopies, etc.). You can also purchase additional 2x4 insert brackets here .
