• More Info About Kit: This bracket kit for building a large wood pergola will accommodate any free-standing pergola ranging from 13-24 feet by 13-24 feet . The back yard pergola does not need to be exactly 24' x 24' like in the images on this page. The kit includes 52 2x6 insert brackets . While the images on this page show that 40 of these brackets are used to add 20 straight inline roof rafters to your pergola (5 rafters to each of the four roof sections, all a 12' span with far spacing between rafters) and the remaining 12 brackets are used to add one privacy wall with 6 slats (8' tall with far spacing between slats), you can use the brackets any way you'd like (i.e. adding another privacy wall or half/partial wall, adding a side railing, installing the roof rafters and/or wall slats at an angle, etc.). You can also purchase additional 2x6 insert brackets here .
• Required Lumber and Cost: As noted above, wood (lumber) is NOT included in this back-yard pergola kit, nor is the hardware you'll need to anchor the base brackets to a secure foundation.
