• More Info About Kit: This 4x4 steel bracket kit will accommodate any free-standing pergola ranging from 13-24 feet by 13-24 feet . The 4x4 frame modern wood pergola does not need to be exactly 24' x 24' like in the images on this page. The kit includes 144 2x4 insert brackets . While the images on this page show that 120 of these brackets are used to add 60 angled roof slats to your pergola (15 slats to each of the four roof sections, all a 12' span with standard spacing between slats) and the remaining 24 brackets are used to add one privacy wall with 12 angled slats (8' tall with standard spacing between slats), you can use the brackets any way you'd like (i.e. adding another privacy wall or half/partial wall, adding a side railing, installing the roof rafters and/or wall slats straight up & down, etc.). You can also purchase additional 2x4 insert brackets here .
