• More Info About Kit: This assembly-made-simple DIY pergola kit will accommodate any attached pergola ranging from 8-12 feet (attached to the house) by 14-24 feet deep (out from the wall of the house). The Do-It-Yourself covered wood pergola does not need to be exactly 12' x 24' like in the images on this page. The kit includes two (2) premium quality charcoal gray shade canopies in your choice of 6 size options: 8x8, 8x10, 8x12, 10x10, 10x12 or 12x12. The canopies are made of fade-resistant 180 GSM High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) knitted fabric that blocks up to 95% of UV rays and is permeable to prevent rain from pooling on top. Each side of the canopies has 4 straps to keep them tight and prevent drooping. The kit also includes 24 corner and side accessory mounts (including screws) to secure the shade canopy straps to the corner brackets and beams of the pergola. The kit also includes 22 2x6 insert brackets . While the images on this page show that all 22 brackets are used to add one privacy wall with 11 slats ( 8' tall with standard spacing between slats), you can use the brackets any way you'd like (i.e. adding another privacy wall or half/partial wall, adding a side railing, adding roof rafters below the shade canopies, etc.). You can also purchase additional 2x6 insert brackets here .
