The length of each roof rafter/slat will differ from what is pictured above since this kit is for a 20-foot wide pergola (not 24 feet wide as pictured). But both the number of roof rafters and the spacing between them will match what is shown in these images. The roof rafters on this pergola will be mounted to the beams on the 24' side and will run the 20-foot width of the pergola (providing more shade when sunlight comes from the 20-foot width side). If you want the roof rafters to run the opposite direction, you'll want this 24x20 pergola kit instead.
