Please note that the images above show a 24' x 24' pergola (rather than a 22' wide x 14' deep pergola, for which the kit on this page is intended). The number of roof rafters/slats will differ from what is pictured above since the roof is only intended to span the pergola's 14-foot depth (rather than a 24-foot depth as shown in the pictures). That said, the spacing between slats/rafters will be very similar to what is shown in the pictures. Important Note: In order for the pictures of our free-standing pergolas to be consistent with the pictures of our attached-to-the-house pergolas, the pictures on this page show width from front-to-back (22 feet for this pergola kit) and depth from left-to-right (14 feet for this pergola kit).
The roof rafters on this pergola are intended to run the width of the pergola (from front-to-back in the pictures). If you want the roof rafters to run the opposite direction (i.e. from left-to-right), you'll want this pergola kit instead.

What's Not Included?
Wood. Wood is a) very expensive to ship and b) readily available to most people at local home improvement and building supply stores. By buying your wood locally, you also have more options on the exact type of wood you'd like that is appropriate for your area's climate.
Anchoring Hardware. While this pergola kit does include stainless steel wood screws for securing 4x4" wood posts into the brackets, it does not include anchoring hardware for securing the base brackets into a secure base (i.e. cement pad, deck, landscape toppers, concrete footing, etc.). This is because the anchoring hardware you need will vary based on a) what type of material you're going into and b) local building codes.
