• More Info About Kit: This kit for building a wood patio/garden pergola will accommodate any free-standing pergola ranging from 4-12 feet by 4-12 feet . The free-standing pergola does not need to be exactly 12' x 12' like in the images on this page. The kit includes 22 2x6 rafter brackets so you can add 11 traditional roof rafters atop the beams of the pergola (covering a span of 12' with closely-spaced rafters). It also includes 24 2x6 insert brackets so you can add one privacy wall with 12 slats (8' tall with closely spaced slats). If desired, you could reduce the number of slats on the privacy wall and use some of the insert brackets to add a side railing or another full/partial privacy wall. You can also purchase additional 2x6 insert brackets here .
