• More Info About Kit: This slatted-wall privacy pergola kit will accommodate any attached pergola ranging from 16-24 feet wide (attached to the house) by 8-12 feet deep (out from the house). The modern pergola w/ a wood-slat privacy wall does not need to be exactly 24' x 12' like in the images on this page. The kit includes two (2) premium quality charcoal gray shade canopies in your choice of 6 size options: 8x8, 8x10, 8x12, 10x10, 10x12 or 12x12. The canopies are made of fade-resistant 180 GSM High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) knitted fabric that blocks up to 95% of UV rays and is permeable to prevent rain from pooling on top. Each side of the shade canopies has 4 straps to keep them tight and prevent drooping. The kit also includes all necessary corner and side accessory mounts (including screws) to secure the shade canopy straps to the corner brackets and beams of the pergola. The kit also includes 16 2x6 insert brackets . While the images on this page show that all 16 brackets are used to add one privacy wall with 8 slats, you can use the brackets any way you'd like (i.e. adding another privacy wall or half/partial wall, adding a side railing, adding roof rafters below the shade canopies, etc.). You can also purchase additional 2x6 insert brackets here .
• Preconfigured Privacy Walls: see this same kit without a privacy wall or with a straight slats privacy wall see kit without a wall or w/ a straight slats privacy wall
• Preconfigured Roof: change roof to: straight 2x6s , 2x6s atop beams , 6x6 posts or angled 2x6s
• Preconfigured Slat Spacing: between privacy wall slats (see kit w/ medium or close spacing) between wall slats (see med or close spacing)
• Required Lumber and Cost: As noted above, wood (lumber) is NOT included in this bracket kit (plus 2 shade canopies) for building a pergola w/ a slatted wall, nor is the hardware you'll need to anchor the base brackets and wall mount brackets. Before you can build your one-wall pergola, you'll need to purchase the following items from a local building supply store or lumber yard (assuming you plan to build a 24' x 12' pergola that is 8' tall): Three (3) 8' long 6x6 posts Five (5) 12' long 6x6 posts Eight (8) 12' long 2x6 slats Anchoring hardware (24 pieces) The estimated cost for the above lumber and anchoring hardware is $650 . This is only an estimate; actual costs will vary depending on the type of wood you decide to buy, your location, local stores & availability, and various other factors.
