• More Info About Kit: This DIY kit for building a pergola for a small space will accommodate any attached pergola ranging from 4-12 feet wide by 4-12 feet deep . The small-size pergola does not need to be exactly 12' x 12' like in the images on this page. The kit includes 40 2x4 insert brackets . While the images on this page show that 14 of these brackets are used to add 7 straight inline roof rafters (covering a span of 12' with standard spacing between rafters) and the remaining 26 brackets are used to add one privacy wall with 13 slats (8' tall with standard spacing between slats), you can use the brackets any way you'd like (i.e. adding another privacy wall or half/partial wall, adding a side railing, installing the roof rafters and/or wall slats at an angle, etc.). You can also purchase additional 2x4 insert brackets here .
