• More Info About Kit: This bracket/hardware kit for building a wood-frame pergola will accommodate any attached pergola ranging from 25-36 feet wide (attached to house) by 4-12 feet deep (out from the house). The wood pergola with beautiful black accents does not need to be exactly 36' x 12' like in the images on this page. The kit includes 42 2x4 insert brackets . While the images on this page show that all 42 brackets are used to add 21 straight inline roof rafters to your pergola (7 rafters to each of the three roof sections, all a 12' span with standard spacing between rafters), you can use the brackets any way you'd like (i.e. adding a privacy wall or half/partial wall, adding a side railing, installing the roof slats at an angle, etc.). You can also purchase additional 2x4 insert brackets here .
• Required Lumber and Cost: As noted above, wood (lumber) is NOT included in this DIY pergola hardware kit, nor is the hardware you'll need to anchor the base brackets and wall-mount brackets.
