• More Info About Kit: This modern deck pergola kit will accommodate any attached pergola ranging from 25-36 feet wide (attached to house) by 4-12 feet deep (out from the house). The pergola attached to the outside wall of the home does not need to be exactly 36' x 12' like in the images on this page. The kit includes 108 2x4 insert brackets . While the images on this page show that 72 of these brackets are used to add 36 angled roof slats to your pergola (12 slats to each of the three roof sections, all a 12' span with far spacing between slats) and the remaining 36 brackets are used to add two privacy walls with 9 angled slats each (both 8' tall with far spacing between slats), you can use the brackets any way you'd like (i.e. adding another privacy wall or half/partial wall, adding a side railing, installing the roof rafters and/or wall slats straight up & down, etc.). You can also purchase additional 2x4 insert brackets here .
• Required Lumber and Cost: As noted above, wood (lumber) is NOT included in this DIY kit for building a house-attached pergola over a back deck, nor is the hardware you'll need to anchor the base brackets and wall-mount brackets.
