• More Info About Kit: This barbecue / patio pergola DIY kit will accommodate any attached pergola ranging from 25-36 feet wide (attached to house) by 4-12 feet deep (out from the house). The pergola attached to house does not need to be exactly 36' x 12' like in the images on this page. The kit includes 84 4x4 insert brackets . While the images on this page show that 24 of these brackets are used to add 12 square inline 4x4 roof rafters to your pergola (4 rafters to each of the three roof sections, all a 12' span with far spacing between rafters) and the remaining 60 brackets are used to add three privacy walls with 10 square 4x4 slats each (all 8' tall with far spacing between slats), you can use the brackets any way you'd like (i.e. adding another privacy wall or half/partial wall, adding a side railing, etc.). You can also purchase additional 4x4 insert brackets here .
• Required Lumber and Cost: As noted above, wood (lumber) is NOT included in this kit to build a pergola over a patio, outdoor kitchen or BBQ grill, nor is the hardware you'll need to anchor the base brackets and wall-mount brackets.
