• More Info About Kit: This covered pergola bracket kit will accommodate any free-standing pergola ranging from 25-36 feet by 4-12 feet . The pergola with roof shade does not need to be exactly 36' x 12' like in the images on this page. The kit includes 66 2x4 rafter brackets so you can add 33 traditional roof rafters atop the beams of the pergola (11 rafters over each of the three roof sections, all a 12' span with closely-spaced rafters). It also includes 80 2x4 insert brackets so you can add two privacy walls with 20 slats each (both 8' tall with closely spaced slats). If desired, you could reduce the number of slats on the privacy walls and use some of the insert brackets to add a side railing or another full/partial privacy wall. You can also purchase additional 2x4 insert brackets here .
