• More Info About Kit: This hardware kit for building a wooden pergola will accommodate any free-standing pergola ranging from 13-24 feet by 4-12 feet . The wood pergola with steel brackets does not need to be exactly 24' x 12' like in the images on this page. The kit includes 33 2x4 rafter brackets so you can add 11 traditional roof rafters atop the beams of the pergola (each rafter running the full 24' width and covering both roof sections, with closely-spaced rafters). It also includes 80 2x4 insert brackets so you can add two privacy walls with 20 slats each (both 8' tall with closely spaced slats). If desired, you could reduce the number of slats on the privacy walls and use some of the insert brackets to add a side railing or another full/partial privacy wall. You can also purchase additional 2x4 insert brackets here .
