• More Info About Kit: This DIY pergola building kit will accommodate any free-standing pergola ranging from 13-24 feet by 13-24 feet . The DIY pergola does not need to be exactly 24' x 24' like in the images on this page. The kit includes 66 2x4 rafter brackets so you can add 22 traditional roof rafters atop the beams of the pergola (each rafter running the full 24' width, with closely-spaced rafters). It also includes 40 2x4 insert brackets so you can add one privacy wall with 20 slats (8' tall with closely spaced slats). If desired, you could reduce the number of slats on the privacy wall and use some of the insert brackets to add a side railing or another full/partial privacy wall. You can also purchase additional 2x4 insert brackets here .
