• More Info About Kit: This kit for building a pergola in your back yard will accommodate any attached pergola ranging from 13-24 feet wide (attached to house) by 4-12 feet deep (out from the house). The backyard wood pergola does not need to be exactly 24' x 12' like in the images on this page. The kit includes 124 2x4 insert brackets . While the images on this page show that 44 of these brackets are used to add 22 straight inline roof rafters to your pergola (11 rafters to each of the two roof sections, both a 12' span with closely-spaced rafters) and the remaining 80 brackets are used to add two privacy walls with 20 slats each (both 8' tall with closely spaced slats), you can use the brackets any way you'd like (i.e. adding another privacy wall or half/partial wall, adding a side railing, installing the roof rafters and/or wall slats at an angle, etc.). You can also purchase additional 2x4 insert brackets here .
