The hardware kit (i.e. bracket kit) includes 20 2x4 rafter brackets so you can add 5 traditional roof rafters that cover all 3 roof sections and run longways (12' width with far slat spacing). These rafters sit atop the beams and can be installed with or without overhangs. If you would like to space the rafters closer together, you can purchase additional 2x4 rafter brackets here.
