Overview
This pergola roof kit utilizes 2x6 insert brackets so you can insert a series of angled 2x6 slats between the 6x6 beams on either side of the pergola. The brackets can be oriented at 45 degrees (as shown in the pictures on this page) or any other angle between 0 and 90 degrees. The brackets are open at the top so you can slide the 2x6 wood slats in from above after securing the brackets to the outside 6x6 beams. This attractive and unique roof style creates more evening shade than the other roof kits.

¹ Span is the distance from outside edge to outside edge (including brackets) of the side of the pergola where the roof brackets will be attached.
² Spacing is approximate and denotes "on-center" spacing - i.e. the distance between the center point of one 2x6 to the center point of the next 2x6 (not the amount of space between the 2x6s).

Wood - Lumber is a) very expensive to ship and b) readily available to most people at local home improvement and building supply stores. By buying your wood locally, you also have more options on the exact type of wood you'd like that is appropriate for your area's climate.
Corner 3-Arm Brackets - The four corner 3-arm brackets shown in these images are for illustration purposes only. They are not included in this pergola roof kit.
