Overview

This pergola roof kit utilizes 2x6 rafter brackets so you can attach a series of 2x6 rafters above the 6x6 beams (creating a second roof "layer" to give the pergola's roof a more traditional look). The 2x6 rafter slats can (but don't necessarily have to) extend beyond the edge of the beams below them, creating overhangs on each end.

¹ Span is the distance from outside edge to outside edge (including brackets) of the side of the pergola where the roof brackets will be attached.

² Spacing is approximate and denotes "on-center" spacing - i.e. the distance between the center point of one 2x6 to the center point of the next 2x6 (not the amount of space between the 2x6s).
